Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance

More than any other one challenge, planning will be the largest obstacle you will face on your road to success. Keep your plan simple and flexible and you’re sure to be a winner.

You already have your dinner meals to choose, but what does your nighttime schedule for the week look like? Do you need to have a quick meal on a certain day? Have you chosen a meal to accommodate your schedule? Does your meal require you to thaw the meat in the morning? Is there any part of the meal you can start the night before to make things easier for when you get home?

You can make your weekday meals quick and easy with some preparation on the weekend. Make 2 or 3 meals on a Sunday to freeze for the week. Even if the whole meal can’t be made and frozen, meatballs, meatloaf, chicken cutlets, casseroles and other preparations can be made far in advance with little effort.

Breakfast is an important part of your routine at the beginning of the program.

Eating it will insure you maintain as much muscle mass as possible. Make it quick and easy.  (Here are some ideas if you are struggling.)  How many different ways can you cook eggs? When we go to the farm, we buy 15 dozen every month. My wife and I are keen on having an omelet with leftovers from the night before, some kind of breakfast meat and a salad or cooked spinach. Total time for cooking and preparation is about 10 minutes.

Lunch is another great time to hit the leftovers from prior in the week. Leftovers are generally still nutritious at day 3. After that the refrigerator has eaten most of the nutritional value. Out of leftovers? After about a week of being on the program, you’ll notice that your hunger pains have greatly diminished. Instead of having a formal meal for lunch, have an oversized snack or a great big salad.
